As my two oldest get closer and closer to senior year (😭😭😭), the momma emotions are in FULL overdrive. It’s really made me want to focus on capturing more than just the “perfect” smiles and poses. Eilish's mom, Amy, just has the best ideas for her sessions and this new (to us) venue was no different! I absolutely fell in love with this spot and cannot wait to do minis here sometime this year (think Christmas Cottage Minis 😍😍😍).

A little peek into my photographer brain 😅

The lupine fields have been BUSY these last couple of weeks, and they're definitely nearing the end of their season. If you've ever booked with me here, you know I'm a little obsessed with timing.

These blooms only last for a short window, and weather plays a huge role. Last year's heat wave cut their season way short, and we barely saw any purple!

My biggest focus here is always the light. This field has almost no shade, and while every photographer has their own style, my favorite light happens right before sunset. This year, I've found my sweet spot is around 8 PM, and the results have been absolutely gorgeous.

What's crazy is how fast the light changes! These two images were taken just 5–7 minutes apart and only a few feet from each other.

I love the warm, glowing sunset in the first image, but there's something so clean and timeless about the second.
