Every time I add a little AI video to one of my photos, somebody acts like I personally announced the death of photography.

So, for all the haters in the comments: **YES, the photo on the bottom was taken by me, with my actual camera. 😂 I promise I occasionally use it for photography.**

The AI part is just me having fun and bringing a photo I already created to life.

Editing: me.

I used to STRESS when a mom would walk into my studio with a color palette that sounded like she picked it by spinning a wheel. 😂

**Pink. Orange. Rust. Cinnamon. And…mint green.**

Me, years ago: *We are doing WHAT together?!*

Me now: **Hand it over, Momma. I see the vision.** 😂

Some of my creative mommas can throw colors together like they're baking a cake.

A little pink…
throw in some orange…
sprinkle in rust…
maybe a dash of cinnamon…

And then, just when I think we're finished:

**“What about this mint green headband?”**

Ma'am. 😂

And wouldn't you know it—it WORKS.

Over the years, my clients have brought **so much color into my life and my studio**, and I've learned to stop being afraid of the combinations that aren't supposed to go together.

Some of my absolute favorite sets have started with a mom bringing me an overall vision, a handful of colors, an outfit or one little detail—and the two of us building something completely unique around it.

And I LOVE that.

Bring me your Pinterest board.
Bring me the weird color combination.
Bring me the outfit you fell in love with that doesn't match anything I own.

**We'll figure it out.** 😂

Because somewhere along the way, these wonderfully creative, slightly crazy mommas taught me that sometimes the prettiest combinations are the ones I never would have thought to put together myself.

And this little girl in her **pink, orange, rust and cinnamon tones with that little pop of mint green**?

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?!

Her momma. That's who. 😂

Is it actually possible for a one-year-old to smile in **EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO?**

Because apparently it is. 😂

We photographed this little guy as a newborn and I swear—not a peep. Just completely content while we posed and photographed him.

And I should have known then exactly what kind of family I was dealing with because **Mom and Dad came equipped with Pokémon characters for his newborn session.** 😂

Fast-forward a year to his cake smash and guess what?

**THE POKÉMON CAME BACK.**

At this point, they're basically part of his milestone photos and I'm fully expecting them to show up for senior pictures someday. 😂

We put this little guy in the cutest teddy bear outfit and somehow that same chill little newborn turned into **Mr. Smiles for the entire session.**

New setup? Smile.
Teddy outfit? Smile.
Pokémon? Obviously smile.
Cake? BIGGER smile.
Camera in his face for the 400th time? Still smiling. 😂

But then you meet his parents and it all makes sense. They are quite possibly the most laid-back, chill Comic-Con-loving people ever, so apparently this child just inherited the family vibe:

**“We're here. This is fun. There are Pokémon. There's cake. No reason to panic.”** 😂

Getting to photograph these babies as tiny newborns and then having them come back a year later with these HUGE little personalities will never get old.

From **not a peep** at his newborn session to **not a photo without a smile** at his cake smash—with his Pokémon crew there for both chapters. 🥹

Happy first birthday, little teddy bear. 🧸🎂

Three precious little girls + their very first baby brother = **three tiny assistant moms officially reporting for duty.** 😂💙

These girls were SO excited about their little brother, and watching them love on him was seriously the sweetest thing. They wanted to help with everything—and honestly, I think they would have taken over the entire newborn session if we'd let them.

Mom was right there on the floor with me, helping pose, decorate and make their little guy look absolutely perfect, while Dad had the very important assignment of keeping three excited big sisters entertained, happy and *somewhat* calm. 😂 And somehow, they made the whole thing look easy.

What I loved most about this family, though, was the feeling that **this little guy has no idea what he's been born into yet.**

Three big sisters who already adore him.
A mom and dad who work together like a team.
And a childhood that looks like it's going to be FULL of adventures.

They literally did their newborn session right before packing everyone up for an RV trip—which tells me Baby Brother better get used to going places. 😂

Someday these four kids are going to look back at these pictures and see where their story together began.

**Three little girls completely smitten with the baby brother they'd been waiting for—and one very lucky little boy who just gained three best friends, protectors, and probably three extra mothers for life.** 💙

There’s something extra special about getting to photograph a family for the second time around. 🤍

This sweet momma brought her newest little guy in wearing the cutest custom outfit, stitched with his name, and his big sisters were absolutely in love with him.

And big brother? Right in the middle of the “terrible twos”… except there was absolutely nothing terrible about the way he loved on his new baby brother. 🥹

Mom and Dad were soaking it all in too—the snuggles, the smiles, the chaos, and that feeling of looking around and realizing, this is our whole family.

Their newest little addition was the perfect finishing piece, and I feel so lucky that I got to capture this family again as they started this next chapter together. 🤍
