As America celebrates 250 years, I am reminded that this nation was shaped by ordinary men and women with extraordinary strength, courage, and conviction. They dared to define ideals of liberty, self determination, and opportunity that would become the foundation of our country. Those ideals have been challenged, tested, and refined through every generation, but they continue to call us forward even now, 250 years later. Our strength has always come from both the character of our people and the diversity of those who have united in pursuit of a common purpose.
The beauty of America has never ceased to amaze me and you will see a variety of landscapes in my work. But, it is the horse that has long represented the spirit of America to me personally. It symbolizes freedom in the saddle, resilience, determination, and the courage to keep moving forward even when the path is uncertain. Alongside it, the American flag stands as a reminder that while we may come from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, but we are united by the enduring values of freedom.
Americaās story has never been one of perfection. Every generation has faced its own challenges and has been called to strengthen the nation for those who would come next. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths because it brings together unique experiences, perspectives, and talents that help us continue growing while remaining united by the ideals that first inspired this nation.
As we celebrate America 250, may we honor those who had the courage to build this country, remember the allies who helped make our independence possible, and recommit ourselves to the values that continue to unite us. May we move forward with gratitude for our past, hope for our future, and a shared commitment to leaving America stronger than we found it.
