Your kids are never too big for photos. Not when they lose the baby teeth, not when they hit the middle school years, not when they suddenly look suspiciously like actual adults.

There’s always a reason to wait. A less chaotic season, better schedules, but let’s be real there isn’t a perfect time. The best time is the version of your family that exists right now. The weird phases, the inside jokes, the limbs that grew three inches overnight and all.

I still have a little space left for 2026 if you’ve been telling yourself maybe this is the year.

In today’s world everything seems faster than ever. Instant answers from ai, tap to pay, be as efficient as possible, hurry hurry hurry. I get it, we’re busy, we’ve got stuff to do and places to be.

But what if we didn’t?

What if we made time to be slower.

What if we made time part of the whole experience.

Mini sessions are great, but I can’t stress this enough, this is not that.

We are going to linger. We’re going to stay. We’ll let the kids be kids.
We’ll take time to lounge and savor, views, touches and feelings. Warmth of the sun on your face, tiny hands wrapped around your finger, crumbs on lips and the way your dress swishes as you move.

I want you to just be, and that takes time. You’ve got to get comfy with me being there and with how you feel in front of my lens. Idk about you but that takes me a little while. That’s why so many of the best moments are toward the end of our time together, everyone has settled in the a way that only happens with allowing time for the exhale.

Take the pressure off, if we’re photographing your little ones imagine how much less stress is involved when you don’t have to hope they’ll perform or behave perfectly for 15 minutes, give them, and yourself space.

It takes time to create real artwork of your family and every minute of it is sacred, the time spent and how it felt is just as important as the photographs that end up on your walls and in your albums to pass down forevermore.

One of the craziest parts of parenthood is how fast the little things change.

The tiny newborn stretches. The sleepy cuddles. The way they fit perfectly in your arms for what feels like five minutes.

That’s the part I think parents are actually trying to hold onto when they book photos. Not perfection. Not posed smiles. Just proof of this exact season before it quietly changes again.

Emily + Drew at home with little Edie 🤍
Slow morning light, tiny toes, sleepy cuddles, Dawson supervising the whole thing like the goodest assistant manager.

And this is exactly why I care so much about albums and framed prints. Not because they’re “extras,” but because these seasons deserve to live somewhere besides your tiny phone screen. Your kids will pull those albums off the shelf someday. They’ll see themselves on the walls. They’ll get to hold proof of how deeply loved they were from the very beginning.

That’s the good stuff.

A 13 year dream realized ✨

A tiny bit of blood (jk no blood), but lots of sweat and tears are behind this website and its contents.

The address is the same but everything is different. I’m different. The growth that I’ve watched in my own life makes childhood me with her pawn shop film camera in the backyard, really, really proud.

I’ve always loved this art but haven’t always loved the business. I’m not cut-throat, I care about every interaction, I want to make clients happy. That won’t ever change but I also want to be happy so I choose projects with people who are open, and trusting and above all, kind. That kindness sets the tone for us to create photographs that pull at every heart string.

Thank you for being on the journey of a lifetime with me, your support means more than you’ll ever know.

A day just for them, to have and to hold. The mountains surrounded their love and spoke to its steadiness.

I don’t often shoot weddings but when I do, it’s for kind people who are focused on what really matters, the life they’re building together and documenting how they felt as the day ebbs and flows.

More like this in the future please.
