✨Why You & Your Partner Are THE Most Important Thing On Your Wedding Day✨ (pt 3/3)

This one feels obvious, but is one of the things that gets lost in the details most often. The reason for this wedding & marriage is because of you & your partner and the IMMENSE love you have for each other! And that should NEVER be put on the back burner or be an after thought while planning your wedding.

You & your partner are the ones who are going to be in your marriage for the rest of your lives! And no one else! The two of you and your happiness should be what comes first when planning your wedding!

It may feel selfish, but you only get one wedding! And after all, even if someone is "upset" with your wedding planning choices, you and your partner are the ones you truly get to live out your wedding & marriage.
YOU come first!

✨Why Planning a Wedding You Love Matters✨ (pt 2/3)

Your wedding truly only happens ONCE. Filling your wedding with the people, things, activities, traditions, and details YOU love is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself and your partner. Having the wedding you want, not out of obligation, but out of love and passion, can make a huge difference!

In my last post, I talked about how mental health can be affected when you plan a wedding you don't particularly want. One way to plan a wedding that you do want is to consider how important and how much you love every detail of your wedding.

When planning, you can ask yourself these questions with every detail of your wedding day .. "Would I be sad if this wasn't included in our wedding?", "Will this positively add to our wedding day?" "Are we incorporating this into our wedding because we love it or out of obligation?" "Do we both love the plans we've made for our wedding day?"

Some of those details include (but are not limited to) ....
- Guests
- Location
- Activities
- Attire
-Pretty Details (florals, decor, etc)

✨Why Elopements Are Positive for Your Mental Health ✨(pt 1/3)

Have you ever been a part of something that wasn't your favorite? Because you knew you'd rather be doing something else that made you happier? The same applies to weddings.

Planning a wedding, no matter the kind, can be stressful. BUT if you're planning a wedding that doesn't vibe with you and you know you'd rather be planning it differently. the stress can take a different (& heavier) toll on you, than if you were planning a wedding that you are excited for in every way possible!

Too often I talk with people who have been married for quite some time and they mention how they wish they had just eloped, and somewhat resent their wedding, because it brought more distress than anything else for them.

Either way, no matter the size of your wedding, or the things you incorporate into it, if it doesn't make you & your partner happy, don't do it!

Why Incorporating Your Hobbies ls THE Best Thing You Can Do For Your Elopement

Hobbies are what drive us, connect us with others, feed our souls and refuel us. For most couples, the reason you connect so well with your partner is because of shared hobbies. If you love something so much to share it with someone else, that you love, why not do it on the day that is all about your love?

By incorporating your hobbies into your elopement, you are starting off your marriage by further strengthening the connection you have with your partner.

On the blog, I talked ALL about incorporating hobbies, why you should, and how to do it!

Which of your hobbies would you want to incorporate into your elopement?

A day full of adventure, from watching the sunrise in Arches, dirt bike riding in Castle Valley, mid-day nap, a ceremony overlooking the valley, and dinner at Deadhorse Point, was what elopements in Moab were made for.

Why ✨Film✨ Photos are Important for Your Adventure Elopement ...

Not only is there beautiful symbolism in film photos (I'll tell you about them in a sec), but the rich classically vintage nostalgia is UNMATCHED.

Film possesses qualities that can't be found in digital photos. The way the colors come out, the beautiful flaws and the way a photo feels, makes each moment captured that much more special and unique.

Plus, the first photos ever taken were on film (not this kind of film, but film none the less), and the beauty of your first moments being captured as spouses, in the same way the first photos were ever taken ... It can't be beat!

Which kind of photos do you prefer???

If I only had a day to spend in Zion, here's what I'd do 👇

Morning: Ride the shuttle up the main canyon, stop off at the Temple of Sinawava, and walk down the Narrows Riverside walk (a little less than 2 miles, VERY easy, about 45 minutes). If it's warm enough I'd get in the water & marvel at the narrows.
As I'm riding the shuttle, I'd make sure to look out the windows to see all the iconic awes of Zion, while listening to the information about the park over the shuttle speaker.
If I had time, I'd stop off at any of the stops that were calling my name that day & just explore the trails (stops 4, 6, & 8 are personal favorites).

Lunch: I'd pack a lunch & eat at the tables & on the grass of the Zion Lodge area (stop 5). Or if you prefer there is the Red Rock Grill at this stop too, inside/connected to the lodge.

Afternoon: I'd get in my car & head to east Zion (up the switchbacks & through the Mt Carmel tunnel), I'd go near Checkerboard Mesa. There are lots of small pull offs with tons of amazing things to see & explore. You can build your own adventure (you may even see mountain goats!).

Sunset: I'd hike the Zion Overlook trail, its a PERFECT view for sunset. But make sure to bring your headlamp for the hike back.

I always love to leave room to go where I feel called to explore that day, and that's exactly how I'd recommend visiting Zion!
