The rock formation on the left is called Tower Bridge. πŸŒ‰ Do you know why? It looks just like London's own (swipe to see), except these rocks naturally formed into this shape. How incredible is that?

My second time in Bryce Canyon was almost exactly one year ago - yet my experience was vastly different from my first visit. We hiked an 8 mi loop (pictured here) called the Fairyland Loop where we passed many different and interesting rock formations. Though it was a longer and more physically challenging hike, I am so glad we completed it! The views were simply incredible. πŸ–Ό Which Bryce Canyon hikes have you done?

Aren't these hoodoos in incredible? These tall, spindly rocks form over millions of years of erosion in areas where a thick layer of soft rock is covered by a thin layer of hard rock. They are completely natural-made! Can you believe it? This is one of the reasons why is one of my favorite national parks. I've never seen anything like it!

This was one of the THE wildest moments I had in Colorado. When walking up this road we saw a bunch of cars stopped. I immediately saw why - a family of deer was crowded on the side of the road right across the street. But to my surprise, started walking TOWARD us! Not gonna lie, I was more scared of them than they were of me. I slowly backed away (they were shoulder height)! These gentle giants did not care about us humans at all, and proceeded to cross. Remember to keep wildlife wild! What was your most memorable wildlife encounter? 🦌🐻🐦

One of the coolest rock formations we saw at was this one - "Siamese Twins." What's special about it is, if you peek through the hole "joining" the twins, you get a nice view of Pike's Peak (swipe to see). It was a short, uncrowded hike to get to the this rock. We had a small snack at the top then turned back. All in all, took ~30 min!

I only took my 35mm lens with me on this trip, so capturing landscapes without and ultra-wide lens was pretty challenging. It forced me to be more creative with how I frame my shots. These were some of my favorite results. What lens do you use for your photography style?

Some super cool rock formations seen at 🏜 The story behind the first one, Balanced Rock, is pretty entertaining. It became a paid tourist attraction in the 1890s when a family bought the land, put up a fence, and began charging people 25 cents to take pictures with the rock. Eventually it was bought back by the government, the fence torn down, and the townspeople cheered ✊

The hubby ends up becoming my model whenever we go on trips πŸ˜›πŸ™ˆ Even though I love shooting landscapes, adding a person to these shots helps me remember the journey. Plus, it lends some scale when we see just how vast these rocks are! πŸ”

While walking down the path, I saw movement out in the distance. To my surprise, it was a deer! 🦌 It crossed the path and walked across this field to eat some tasty treats from a tree. I didn't expect to see any wildlife in the winter, but wait until you see a later post - we got real close and personal!

We encountered a surprising amount of wildlife at . First up were these mountain goats. 🐐 They were behind a fenced enclosure, but really didn't care about us people pointing, shouting, and taking pictures. It really cracked me up when they all turned their butts to us at once!
