Spring Forward

I love this time of the year and the time change because it means I can shoot and surf after work. There was a late sunset glow last week just as the pier lights turned on.

Golden Rapids

A small section of the Virgin River clothes gold with the reflected light off the canyon walls of the Narrows. So many ideas come to mind when viewing this image, one being that water will be more expensive than gold as it becomes more scarce as well as Rumplestilskin’s fairytale of turning straw into gold. This was the last shot of the day during my trip to Zion on my way to Bryce Canyon National Park. Zion is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen and I can’t wait to go back.

Surf City Curtain Call

I spent the last day of 2018 surfing at my 2nd favorite beach and reminiscing on all that last year presented me with, both good and bad. Let’s see what you’re made of 2019!

“Further Down The Road”

Road trips to get Eastern Sierra never disappoint. I’ve driven by the Alabama Hills many times on my way north and to Mt. Whitney but this place is a destination all it’s own. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring this place.

Christmas Church

The old church in Yosemite Valley during a snow storm. It was quite the surprise to wake up to a winter wonderland on this morning. Although taken in May a few years back, this shot always reminds me of the Most wonderful time of the year🎄.

“All That Glitters Is Gold”

On my way into the Narrows I past this location and thought nothing of it as the light was quite drab. By the time I returned the sun moved into just the right position to give the canyon a beautiful golden glow. All but one said I shouldn’t go considering I had no time and a new job to prepare for. Standing in the cold rapids of the Virgin River watching this light show unfold made all the effort worth it.
