I bring you bittersweet news this morning about our neighbors with the Lifesaver 4 medical helicopter that crashed on Sunday in Chelsea, AL.

As we mourn the loss of pilot Marc Gann and RN Adam Russell who died in the crash, Amanda Daniels (who survived the crash) has released a public statement as she writes from her heart.

Writes Ms. Daniels:

"To say that I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers for our LifeSaver family would be a complete understatement. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. My body is bruised and sore but it will heal. My heart will not.

"I lost two very important people in my life. We all did. Marc Gann is one of the best pilots I EVER had the pleasure to work with. He is an even better friend, to everyone. Selfless, hard working and insanely funny. Adam Russell, is a dedicated father, son, husband and friend. If you've ever flown with him you would know before the helicopter ever left the ground he bowed his head, folded his hands and prayed. Not every once in a while- every flight. Same as our last day together.

"There is a lot of talk going on about what happened to us. Please DO NOT make assumptions. Do not pass blame. Let the people who do the investigations do their investigations.
Please be respectful about what you talk about.

"There are still many many people who still work for LifeSaver/AirMethods. Not only do employees see what you say, but some of the children of these employees see what you say, too.

"If you have ugly comments keep them to yourselves please!!!! The media has posted many heartless pictures and comments. It has been extremely disappointing to see.

"I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond to messages and texts. I need time to process all of this and take time to heal. We all do.

"Support each other. Love each other. I love you all!
I would fly to the moon and back with those two great men.

"Let's honor them."
