I received a message from a parent of a baseball player back in February! Yes folks, February! I honestly forgot about it until she messaged me a few weeks ago. She had an idea for a special photo of her son. He has played hundreds of games over the years and she had saved every one of his jerseys from his t-ball to his senior year! Elijah Arend was an outstanding player for Fairview, setting many records over his career as an Apache!

Today got back out over the fields! I was hired to inspect irrigation systems for Norashton Farms. Once in a while, rust will build up on the spray nozzles... so I flew over them and could pinpoint which ones werent working properly, if at all.

A special photo that I wanted to share! Most baseball fans see a coach hugging a player after a victory! But as a photographer I see something totally different! Yes, its a coach and a player, BUT, this isnt just any coach nor player! This was snapped at the conclusion of the Acme State Tournament Championship game. This is Head Coach Andy Singer and his son Anthony. Above the game, that is what this photographer sees, not the player/coach but a father/son sharing a moment that they will be able to cherish forever!!!

The summer baseball season has officially ended with the conclusion of the 2026 Acme State Championship which the Fairview Apaches brought home the rings! So I've spent the last few days creating a Championship Poster for each player on the roster. Players, Family and Friends are welcome to take a copy of these prints. If you want a 11"x 14" poster, those are $30. But you can save the ones I'm sharing here.

After several thousand photos of baseball players, it was time for a much needed break. I cancelled two weekends at the lake with my wife to go to tournaments.... but this weekend, we made the journey to Harrison Lake State Park. Beautiful weekend. Perfect morning for some photos over a calm lake too!!!

Meet your 2026 Acme State Champions!!! The Fairview Apaches!!!

Wow what a game! It had you on the edge of your seat for sure! A heck of a pitching duel.... Jonah Shininger for the Apaches against Boeckman of the Redskins! They both did an amazing job! But lets set the stage a bit. Fairview had struggled to score, only getting one run in the bottom of the second I believe. They had runners on but couldnt get them in. Then, Fairview came up on the defensive end big time. St Henry had the bases loaded with only one out. And wow, they kept them from scoring!

We head into the bottom of the 7th. Fairview gets a hit and two walks. St Henry's Boeckman is struggling a bit. Bases are loaded and up comes Calvin Kepler. He stood in the box with confidence, he could get a hit and drive in a run. But oh boy... he swung the bat and the ball cleared the left fielder's head and hit the fence. First one run, then two followed by the sliding third run under the catchers tag, Umpire gave the SAFE signal and the celebration commenced.

Congratulations Fairview on your first ever State Championship!!!
