I try not to post personal thoughts. But I feel like it today. I’m an old fart by any measure but in my day, as an athlete, I simply didn’t like soccer. My mentality was, they’re just running around chasing a ball. WOW, I was so wrong in my backwards thinking! The display I’ve witnessed this season is breathtaking. They are ATHLETES!!! They’re skilled and play with so much heart. And in the girls games, I thought they’d be much tamer than the boys. Again, I was so wrong!!! These girls were sprinting into the action. Using only heads and feet!!!! Last night I was in awe watching their speed and incredible passing to teammates. One girl, not sure who is is, but to myself I was calling her the enforcer. Dang she was TOUGH. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching and filming the games!!!!

An amazing evening to watch a very good soccer match!!! I got to talk to a few parents who were encouraging me! Felt good to be appreciated. Evergreen made the journey to Bryan! They gave a valiant effort but the Golden Bears were running on full throttle taking home the win, 11-2.
