As a self-taught photographer I am inspired by the beauty surrounding me, by the ever changing dance of light and by being in nature. I am mostly guided by intuition, simply being in the presence of what is. There are many great photographers and artists that serve as sources of my inspiration as well.

More photos from my Door County trip earlier this month. Our last stop was Cana Island Lighthouse. It was very windy. I loved the cloudy sky and waves on Lake Michigan. There were so many Mayflies which can be seen as little specks in the sky (if you zoom into the picture)

From last week's trip to Door County. Schoolhouse beach on Washington Island was so pristine and the colors of the water in Lake Michigan were incredible! There were signs everywhere not to take any of the rocks - I can see why! I have never seen such smooth, white rocks - quite special!
