Parents, please be very careful when choosing your newborn photographer. 🤍

Newborn photography is so much more than taking a beautiful picture. When you bring your 5–15 day old baby into someone’s studio, you are trusting that person with your most precious little treasure.

At Milly Garza Studio, your baby’s safety will always come before the photograph.

Newborn posing and wrapping require knowledge, patience, and proper technique. A baby should never simply be wrapped or positioned without knowing how to safely support their tiny body, hands, legs, head, and neck. There are proper techniques for every pose and every wrap, and knowing when a baby is uncomfortable or when a pose simply shouldn’t be attempted is just as important.

Hygiene is also extremely important to me. Because newborns are still so little and vulnerable, I personally wear a mask during every newborn session and take extra precautions while handling your baby.

Please do your research. Ask questions. Look at your photographer’s experience specifically with newborns, not just photography in general.

Beautiful pictures are important, but your baby’s safety is more important than any photograph.

Invest in someone who is properly experienced in newborn photography and who will treat your baby with the same care they would their own.

They are your greatest treasure. 🤍
