As Chief Deputy Clerk, Gonzales has worked closely in the Clerk’s Office and has firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations that keep Terry County running smoothly. Current County Clerk Kim Carter, who is retiring after choosing not to seek re-election, has voiced her support for Gonzales to continue the work and provide continuity for the office.
