Kelsea Kaptures Kelsea Kaptures / FKA Starry Dreams Photography 🖤 Kapturing forever moments and memories 📸 Hello! My name is Kelsea.

I am 27 years old and based out of the Brown County// Clermont County area in Ohio but am willing to travel and drive the extra mile ❤️ I started taking pictures of my sisters and other family members in early middle school and fell in love with it. Every year for Christmas I would ask for a new camera - When I turned 16 and started my first job I saved up the money to buy my first DSLR camera and

have went up from there every since. I have always done photography more as a hobby // short amount of time throughout the year type deal because the past 5 years or so of my life were so hectic. I am now at a great place of my life where I can actually put the love and time back into my photography that I miss so much. I rebranded, am starting fresh, and am truly excited just to even be taking pictures again. ❤️📸

The experience of being pregnant for the first time-around the same time as your best friend is something amazing in its own way.

So excited for Delanie Stacy and Sydney Lynch (And their fella's too of course) 😉

Astrophotography didn’t start everything for me, but it absolutely owns me now.

I first tried learning it about 8 years ago and took a few photos one summer, but if I’m being honest, I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I loved it. Now it’s different. Now I know how to chase it, how to track it, how to let the camera pick up what my eyes can’t see right away. And I will gladly stand in a field all night, lose sleep, and question my life choices at 2am just to watch it all move across the sky.

There is just something different about the night sky. It’s quiet, dramatic, humbling, and a little addicting. Once you really see it, you can’t unsee it. You realize how much is happening above you every single night that most people never even notice.

If you’ve never taken the time to look, you should. Let your eyes adjust. It takes a good 20 to 30 minutes for them to fully adapt to the dark, and once they do, more and more stars start showing up. Summer is the best time, when the Milky Way decides to show off and stretch across the sky like it knows you’re watching.

And if you want to photograph it, you don’t need crazy expensive gear. A tripod, a dark sky away from city lights, and patience will take you far. Some of these took hours, just me standing there, following the same sky while the earth kept moving under my feet.

It’s one of the only things I photograph that doesn’t care if I’m there or not. I just show up and hope it lets me see it.

Here are just some of my many photos ✨ I didn’t upload the full resolution versions, so some may look a little off or blurry here, but I promise they’re worth it 🫶

Wanted to introduce myself and put a face behind the camera. I’m taking a social media break this week, but I’ve scheduled posts to share different categories of photos I’ve taken over the years. Photography has taken me in so many directions, and I want to show the different passions I have and the things I love capturing. 🖤

Hi, I’m Kelsea.

I’m the one standing in a field at midnight talking to my camera like it’s a person, waiting for the stars to do their thing. Astrophotography owns a piece of my soul. There’s something addictive about chasing light that most people never even notice.

I’ve never been good at picking just one thing, and honestly I don’t want to be. I photograph nature, landscapes, animals, people, weddings, bo***ir, concerts, sports, businesses, families, old buildings, new places, and the random, unplanned moments that end up meaning the most. The in between stuff. The blink and you miss it stuff.

I love the perfectly imperfect. Windblown hair. Dirty boots. Real laughs. Quiet emotion. I’m drawn to history, daily life, and places that feel a little off. The creepy ones. The forgotten ones. The ones that still have something to say if you’re willing to look at them differently.

I also love trying new ideas. Send me the idea you think is weird. Send me the location you’re not sure about. Ask me the question. I’m always looking for something new to photograph, and if it’s something I haven’t done before, I’ll probably be just as excited as you are and maybe even offer a discount because I want it in my camera roll too.

I have my passport, my camera, and no intention of staying in one place forever. If there’s a waterfall, a city, a mountain, or a random road with good light, I’m already halfway there in my mind.

I’m not the photographer who’s going to make you stand there and fake a moment.

I’m the photographer who’s going to see you in a way you didn’t know other people could.

Email me at [email protected] for any photography inquiries or booking questions, and I’ll get back to you within the next week 🫶🏻
