Mama June wore her new pearl collar to the emergency room for her very first visit today. ❤️

A few months ago, all those sights, sounds, smells, and people would have been overwhelming.

Today, she handled it beautifully.

Someone even commented, “Maybe she could be a therapy dog one day.”

Whether that’s in her future or not, she brought smiles, comfort, and a little extra gentleness to a chaotic place today.

I’m pretty proud of how far she’s come. ❤️

A Monday morning thought, or a few of them.

I’ve caught myself recently being trapped in the ugly vicious cycle of sitting in the negative…. Focusing on all the things going wrong, all the uncertainty, all my problems …

But I’m about to walk into a shift where I am looking into the eyes of people laying in hospital beds who would give anything for my problems and would give anything for one more day with their people. Some people come in with paper cuts, but a lot of these people are really, really sick.

Life is messy and raw and beautiful and ugly and incredible all at once. Today is a gift. It is a privilege that many don’t have. Go do something to make your world beautiful, hug your kids, tell your parents you love them if you’re fortunate enough to have them around still

Drink your water, move your body and make today beautiful for you and someone else ❤️

For years I stood behind the camera watching women begin to glow as they learned how to handle a firearm safely. Last weekend, I got to experience that joy right in front of me with my first student.

I'm hooked ❤️

What I've learned over the years is that it is so much more than just a pistol, rifle or shotgun. You're not just teaching a skill, you're teaching confidence, emotional regulation, problem solving, trust in themselves, and permission to succeed.

And with that, it's only forward.

Basic pistol and concealed carry classes will be offered soon!

Yesterday I had the privilege, if even for a short time, to teach next to 2 of my favorite fi****ms friends. What a gift to watch their love and joy for this sport spread to others!

This is what support looks like - a hidden smile celebrating their wins, tiny adjustments, a hand right there for whatever is needed.

Women teaching women ... no judgement, no competition, just linking arms and walking forward together ❤
