Berani, the male orangutan at the Denver Zoo has past away. Most of you know that the denver zoo is my happy place and Berani has always been a big part of that. He was dad to Cerah and Siska and was such a great dad. Cerah’s mom died when she was 2. Male Orangutans don’t usually have a part in raising their young but Berani stepped up and the beautiful relationship between him and Cerah was so magical. I will miss seeing him when I go to the zoo.
