If you're on my email list, you received an email from me
yesterday where I shared that I am totally awkward and a little cringey
when I step out from BEHIND the camera and get in
FRONT of it for my own photos.
So, for anyone who may feel a little less-than-confident
about rocking your photos, just know you're not alone.
ALSO, I put together my top 3 tips for how to actually
relax and enjoy your session!
Here they are:
1. First, champagne. Hah, just kidding, don't do it! But seriously, I
DO think it's important to find a way to relax before you
even get started in the session. Here's where I've got you covered! I will loosen you up and coach you into positions and expressions that will have you rocking your headshot session.
2. Next, I recommend that you only repeat positive
thoughts in your head, through the entire session.
Positive thoughts on the inside will definitely help show through and make you feel more confident than if you
were only worrying and saying negative things to yourself.
3. Shake it up. I won't let you feel like you're getting that 'deer in the headlights' look on your face, like you've been staring straight at my camera for far too long, I'll get you to move around, relax and start your expression over. This is normal and will happen a few times during your session. It's hard work looking great in front of a camera, but I'll get you there.
Above all, I want to be sure that you're feeling relaxed and enjoying the experience with me!
