Adam Birkan photographed Thai artist Nakrob Moonmanas for Andaz One Bangkok and Roadbook. Adam documented Moonmanas’s layered studio practice, his favorite places in Bangkok and an evening with the artist and friends.

Nakrob’s work reimagines Thailand’s myth, literature and spiritual iconography through collage, weaving together archival fragments from Buddhist cosmology and contemporary culture. Adam captured composed portraits and textural details of Moonmanas’s work.
