One of my favorite moments of a wedding day is getting ready, especially when the couple chooses to get dressed together at home. I love that there are little visual breadcrumbs of your real life sprinkled across the compositions: from the Hayao Miyazaki jibbitz on your crocs to art made by a friend that found its way to your wall. It’s like an eye spy of so many tiny, abstract self portraits, exhibited as the items in your life.

For Darius & Tom, getting ready was also the last little bit of time together alone before they joined their 150+ guests at a night club and drag bar to celebrate their marriage alongside their community.

“We have to get married so our cats are no longer our bastard children” might be an all time favorite quote from a couple ever. 😂

What I love about Natalie & Chris is that they refuse to show up as anyone other than themselves. Their couples session was no different, and I hope you can feel their love and giggles through your phone screen.

So excited to celebrate with you both in 2027!

Ashlyn & Robert loved the view from their wedding ceremony so much that they said RAIN OR SHINE, WE’RE DOING IT OUTSIDE! Well, then the weather responded “oh really? We’ll see about that! 🤔” and threw a giant rain storm directly overhead at the scheduled ceremony time. So then we said “yeah really!” And swapped cocktail hour to be before the ceremony because the radar said it would all pass overhead within an hour…and so, A+R got their outdoor ceremony AND they got a bonus cocktail in before the formalities. It was a win win if you ask me!
