DEBUT SOLO GALLERY SHOW

Feels unreal but it actually happened. I’m over joyed and can’t fully explain how much it meant to celebrate the launch of my first ever book with my first ever solo gallery show.

Seeing friends, family and new faces come together to celebrate was incredible. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it. I know the weather was not ideal most of the day but it ended up being perfect by the time of the show.

It’s so crazy seeing people hold my book, an idea that went from my head to a real world tangible thing. We sold out of the first batch but I have more coming so if you want a book feel free to preorder with the link in my bio.

DEBUT SOLO EXHIBITION AND BOOK

Officially announcing my first photo book!

In Search Of… Jelani Rice.

Published in collaboration with Berlin-based publisher , this book represents the last five years of my journey — a mix of written passages, personal projects, commissioned work, and editorial portraits that have shaped who I am as an artist and storyteller.

To celebrate, I’ll also be hosting my debut solo exhibition later this month in Brooklyn, NY at
The show will feature selected works from the book, framed and displayed, with a limited number of copies available for purchase at the gallery.

ADELA

Back again with some new work. I recently went to Mexico City and knew when I arrived I wanted to do a shoot. I was able to link up with the multi talented while I was there for not only a shoot but a tattoo session as well.

Adela and I started shooting early in the morning at a local park with beautiful lighting. They were a natural and we quickly were able to capture some beautiful images. I did shoot a roll of 35mm but as the film game goes that roll ran into some technical difficulties and no images were recovered.

The next day I was able to link back up with Adela for an amazing tattoo session. You can check out my tat and her work at .by.adela. Make sure y’all tap in with her.

FABIOLA 2025

It has become kind of a yearly tradition for me and Fabiola to collaborate on a photoshoot for her birthday. We work together on the creative direction and styling to get the perfect tone. This year we knocked it out the park.

I love how beautiful these photos turned out. Fabi looks STUNNING and the studio we went with had the perfect vibe. I have many photo shoots planned for this year but this was the best one to start off with.

SOPHIE YUN MANCINI FOR ELLE

Exciting share for y’all. I had the amazing opportunity to shoot portraits of for . I first and foremost want to thank for connecting us.

This shoot was seamless. Sophie was great to work with and as soon as she sent me the draft for the article I got to thinking on how to best capture the emotion of the words she wrote. We shot these on both my Leica M6 and the Mamiya RZ67. Been trying to incorporate more 35mm in my professional work.

STUDIO J|A

So I know I’ve been gone for a little but wanted to share what I’ve been cooking up. I started a camera strap company with my good homie ! Been working on this since last summer so I’m excited for it finally to go live.

Me and Anton met a few years ago and instantly linked. Our love for photography and music instantly made us connect. When I was in Germany last summer we both discussed how we wanted to create our own short strap.
After some R&D we have come up with our first product “Karl”.

MASA FILMS

Tapping in to post some oldies. Decided to reach into the archives and post some photos I shot for my homie’s .quez and . They are amazing film makers and tasked me with shooting images for their production studio, Masa Films. These images were taken in fall of 2022 and I sadly never posted them until now.

Loved the ease of shooting these photos and love these two people. Make sure y’all tap in with their work. They have been on a festival run with their first feature length documentary Going Varsity in Mariachi.
