I will never get tired of looking at faces and trying to figure out the best way to capture, in a single image, what my subject wants to convey.
How fascinating are the nuances between just a slight head tilt, the body language, and shaping the light to signify the difference between demonstrating:
You’re a leader
A great communicator
A good listener
Confident and capable
Someone great to work with..or all of the above.

There’s nothing more elegant than a print, matted and framed, with a lot of white space. This piece is 20 x 24“ overall and part of a grouping. It gives breathing space between the images. On another note I always remember seeing some gym advertising that “summer bodies are made in the winter.”
It reminds me that many a family photo project comes to fruition in the colder months, even if shot in the warmer ones!

Is there really ever just ONE photo that tells the story of your family?! Nope. That’s why I love a series of action shots, portraits of those beautiful faces, and the moments in between the “looking at the camera and smiling”. A few highlights from a summer shoot in LIC.
Enjoy these times, they don’t stay little for long, but the photos are forever.

Relish it when you pick up your artwork in person (I also deliver). It is fun to see your not photo day look, your reaction to having something beautiful in hand, and I also love the catch-up on how life is going. I adore a series of photos for One Year milestones. Works well with a cake smash, but this little one was a berry monster. Each frame is a story unto itself!

Two locations folks underestimate are “home” and college campuses. Each year I photograph these guys in their home environment, and then we head off to the Princeton campus (dad’s alma mater and where they were married) for a little adventuring.
Trust me, on the weekends, or in summer you have most of the grounds to yourself before 10am.
What’s a meaningful place for you?
I’ll be up in Ithaca the second week of August for any Cornell alums out there. More locally Pratt, Columbia, and Barnard are right here.

1. Micro sessions are 10 minutes long and the session is $50. All of which goes to Sanctuary For Families. Once you view your online gallery you can order other products like digital files, prints or artwork. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. We shoot them all on white. We'll do a variety of expressions, plus closeups and 3/4 length. Expect 15+ images.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. The kids can be fancy or casual.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. If you have siblings and only want them together, book one session. If you want them together and separate, book two back to back spots.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
