Sea Cliff Manor held a special place in Christine’s family: her parents were the first couple to get married there in the 1980s. And Christine and Kevin held a special place for me: I had already photographed the weddings of two of Catherine’s friends. We had an amazing day together from getting ready at family homes, having cocktail hour end at exactly the moment the sky opened up to finally rain, and dancing with old friends. Here’s just a sneak peek of the day.

A New York City elopement on film. Though Jesse and Irene no longer live here, they wanted to return to the city where they met and fell in love for their wedding day. We kicked things off with a ceremony at the Brooklyn Marriage Bureau before running around the city to some of their favorite old haunts. From skyline views, to riverside walks, ice cream in Central Park, and even a trip to the Columbia campus where they first got to know one another. We had an amazing day exploring together.

I actually find a rainy wedding day so romantic and fun. It just takes umbrellas, a good attitude, and a willingness to get a bit damp and you can create some amazing memories and get great photos out of the deal. It absolutely poured during Austin and Sam’s ceremony in Brooklyn Bridge Park, and it’s still one of my favorites to look back on. As an added bonus, a rainy day can make a normally busy location feel like a private spot.

Just a handful of snaps from Ginno and Elie’s welcome party the night before their blowout combo 10 year anniversary/40th birthday party. A group so filled with love, hugs, jokes, and fun. They are an absolute delight and their circle of friends is obviously amazing. Grateful to get to be a part of it!

The sweetest NYC wedding on a day that many New Yorkers will never forget. With a backdrop of energy from game 5 of the MNBA playoffs, Alana and Aaron hosted an intimate and beautiful celebration at One of by Land, Two if by Sea. But first they got ready and shared private vows at the Bryant Park Hotel and took photos at the NY Public Library. Then they were picked up by a vintage cab and made their way to the West Village, among a sea of fans in orange and blue. A sweet ceremony was followed by an amazing meal, catching up with old friends, and dancing accompanied by a live saxophonist. As the official party wrapped up, a handful of guests gathered around a tablet to watch the final minutes of the game.
