Once again, I was blown away by the warmth and enthusiasm of the Icelandic bar community. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to give an educational session with the legends at Daisy and Jungle, and for the partnership with the delicious Brennivin aquavit. What a fun week!

Heading back to New York now, and wishing I had a LOT more time to spend in Iceland. I'll be back as soon as possible.

Here's a throwback to my January trip to Kentucky with for some bourbon-related meetings. Check out the absolute beast of a column still at Wild Turkey (really incredible behind the scenes tour, even though they were closed for tours at the time...thanks !).

And, second, the gorgeous doubler at Willett Distillery. If you have the chance, it is a beautiful facility with absolutely delicious products, and one of the best restaurants in the area on top!

Super cool experience staying inside this greenhouse for the night with Coline. Tiny little shoebox rooms with a sauna and communal living room (with a fireplace), and a beautiful farm to table restaurant in the next building, where we had a delicious dinner + 10000 desserts.

It was so much fun to be back at my former bar home, The Dead Rabbit for a pop up with my new bar Bisou Bisou. They haven't missed a beat, and it was a great evening.

A heartfelt thank you to the Dead Rabbit team for hosting us with that same world class skill and attitude that hasn't wavered since day one. (Which for me was over 10 years ago now). It was an inspiration to me and my colleagues as we work to build our own little dream bar up in Montréal.

Last week, my good friend and talented bartender / owner operator Jørgen Dons joined us at Bisou Bisou as our first international Round Table guest.

Hailing from Trondheim, Norway, Jørgen is a partner in Raus Bar, as well as award-winning aquavit brand Vi, and organizes a series of cocktail food pairing popups, which he spoke about in detail during his seminar.
