After stepping back these last several weeks following my breast cancer diagnosis, I’m excited to slowly reopen my calendar and get back to creating again.

Portraiture has always been more than a job to me.

It is storytelling, connection, confidence, and legacy all wrapped into one experience, and I have genuinely missed it.

Because I am still healing, availability will remain limited as I transition back into the studio over the next couple months.

If you’ve been considering a session with me, I encourage you to reach out sooner rather than later to begin planning.

I also want to sincerely thank everyone for the grace, patience, prayers, and kindness shown to my family during this chapter. Your support has carried us through more than you know, and I am very much looking forward to this next season.

PS: If you know someone who is battling cancer right now, I'd love to offer them a complimentary session. I'll only be taking limited sessions for this, but I want to gift others going through this battle, because it's not fun. Having been through this, I really appreciate what portraits do for my mentality during the exhausted times.

The hugs, the chaos, the laughter, the quiet moments, the tired eyes, the strength, the softness, the way she loves everyone before herself. These are the things that shape a family’s story, and they deserve to be remembered.

Today, we are celebrating the mothers who give so much of themselves every single day without asking for recognition in return. The women creating childhoods, preserving memories, holding families together, and loving deeply through every season of life.

To every mother, grandmother, bonus mom, pet mom, and woman nurturing others with love and intention: Happy Mother’s Day. Your presence matters more than you know, and the people who love you will one day treasure the proof that you were here. 🤍

She brings kindness, calm, laughter, and a whole lot of heart to everything she does, and we are incredibly lucky to have her.

This is not something I planned to share, but it matters that you hear it directly from me.

I was recently diagnosed with early stage but aggressively growing breast cancer.

Everything has moved incredibly fast. In just a month, our world has completely shifted, and we have needed that time to process it ourselves before sharing publicly.

I will be having my first surgery in the coming days, followed by time to heal.

Branden and I are navigating this unexpected season of life while continuing to show up for our boys, our businesses, and our community the best we can.

Mentally and emotionally, I am not operating at my usual level, and that has been an adjustment. But no matter what happens, know this: Cancer does not get to take my smile or the way I love my life!

I have lived a full, beautiful, and deeply meaningful life so far. God, I am so lucky to have had so many amazing experiences, memories, and people woven into my life! This is a chapter I did not ask for, but I am walking into it with perspective, gratitude, and a whole lot of fight.

What our family needs most right now is grace and patience. We may not be able to respond to every inquiry, and we will also keep some parts of this journey private. We ask that you respect that.

We appreciate your understanding, your prayers, and your positive support. We are incredibly grateful for our friends, family, team, and community, including the Girl Gang of America members who have already wrapped us in love during this time.

It was caught early, and we are confident in the road ahead.

For now, we are taking this one day at a time, with a lot of gratitude for the life we have built.

Cancer picked the wrong family. And if you know me, you already know… I do not go down without a fight.

It is easy to overlook just how much they become part of your life… until you stop and really see it.

Your dog is not “just a pet.”
They are part of your story.

And stories like this deserve to be captured with purpose, intention, and care.
