Last night between 7:30 and 8 pm I finally photographed the comet. I went west of the metro to Corcoran and Greenfield area as I wanted to photograph it with a farm. I never did see it with my eyes but could see it on my camera after I took the photos. I was a bit disappointed thinking it'd be bigger than it was. I imagine I should have gone a few days ago when it was brighter and closer to the earth.

Did you get to see the Harvest super moon this morning? Here are a couple photos I got last night of it rising and setting this morning. As it's closer to the earth in it's orbit, it will appear brighter and larger tonight as well.

A week ago Kim and I saw the northern lights as bright as we've ever seen them at Split Rock Lighthouse. Only 1 other photographer was there that Sunday night (Oct 6th, 24). We could see the red very easy at the beginning and then they faded to just green colors later. They showed up brighter in the photos than what we were seeing with our eyes though as I had the shutter open for a few seconds with the camera on a tripod.
