Truth: Working with larger teams reminds me just a little bit of my wedding photography days...
💫There is some wrangling involved
💫Timelines need to be adhered to
💫And maybe, just maybe, not everybody wants to be there 🤪

So maybe they are a touch more challenging to schedule and administer than a entrepreneur brand shoot, but to be completely honest with you - they are SO rewarding. Results can be magic.

When we plan a shoot, I always strive to understand how you will use the final photos as well as how you want to be portrayed.⁠

➡️Do you want to do more speaking this year? Get more 1:1 clients? Many times it makes sense to incorporate other people into your brand shoot so we can represent that collaborative energy. ⁠

💃🏽Even if you are a one-woman show.⁠

💫AND you might just be surprised at how willing your friends, family members or strategic partners will be to hop in photos with you!⁠

Usually, they are flattered to be asked and excited to help you out. ⁠

In a strategy session the other week, it was suggested to me that there be "more of Katie in your feed."⁠

➡️ My favorite color is kelly green 🟢. When I see somebody wearing it, I ALWAYS stop them and tell them they are wearing my favorite color! ⁠

➡️ I love a good bargain, and garage sale season is upon us. I literally cannot pass up an "Estate Sale" sign 🏚️and my kids know this, and have grown to love the hunt with me- (And I have learned to keep 💲on me) ⁠
⁠
➡️ I am kind of crazy about doing the dishes. They are done after every meal (armed with dish gloves and a rubber apron so my stomach doesn't get wet!) My pet peeve is when other people do the dishes WITHOUT first clearing out the dishrack so they put WET clean dishes on top of DRY clean dishes. ⁠

Just in case you need a little encouragement today...I'll share something that stuck with me
Which famous philosopher, you may ask?

OK, it was from yoga class. But you know, inspirational is everywhere :)

She said, and I quote:
"You can do this.
You are expanding,
and it can be uncomfortable"

As with so many parts of running a small business, expanding brings with it new challenges and risks.

If one of the things that makes you feel "uncomfortable" is putting your face in front of your business...

well that is where I can help you!

When I was on spring break shopping with my mom and sisters, we went into an art gallery that had these "Spirit Tiles" enamel and copper art with an image and sayings. I didn't buy one, but did grab the brochure that has many inspirational quotes and sayings on it - proudly residing on my desk.

Here is one I pulled for you today - so much of running a small business is knowing when to act on something.

Fun fact: in our wedding vows we had a reading by Paulo Coelho (not this quote - it was from "The Alchemist" when the two lovers meet at the well - anyone know it?)
