The largest tumor in my baby’s brain will be removed in the morning 3/28/25, it seems so unreal to be saying that as we just found out last night. It’s been a very rough 3 weeks of looking for answers to my baby’s symptoms.
Intense vomiting, diarrhea, wobbling, falling over/unbalanced gate, recent headaches and fatigue. It all makes sense now. After multiple doctors appts we finally have answers.
Madelyn is 3 almost 4 come mid July and the brain and spinal MRI shows she has fluid on the brain (hydrocephalus) mostly caused by the larger mass obstructing a brain ventricle. It also revealed several smaller tumors on the brain and a small spinal cord tumor.
I’m told treatment will be needed for the smaller tumors after she recovers from the surgery to remove the large one. Once results come back in two weeks we will know what type of tumor it is and how to adjust the treatment plan that’s best for her.
I am so thankful for all my friends, family and loved ones reaching out and sending their love, support and prayers. It truly means the world to David and I and our family. I never thought I would be in this situation and I’m so grateful that we have a great community that is there for us. We love you guys and are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love that you have shown us within the last 24 hours, thank you!
I know I serve a good God! Even though I might not understand why we are in this situation, I do know that he has a plan for my baby and our family and I will trust him to see us through this! He is more than able! ❤️
Update 3/28: Update: she did great and is now in our new pediatric ICU room recovering. So thankful for Dr Gross and her wonderful team!! Once she wakes up we will see how she does for the next 24-48 hours! Thank you all for all the prayers!!
