Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS)

The comet is visible in the west after sunset in the Northern Hemisphere. It's best viewed in dark areas with little light pollution, such as in the country.

The comet is visible to the naked eye, but it may be best viewed with binoculars or a telescope as it dims.

The comet's head is about two miles in diameter, and its tail is believed to be up to 18 million miles long

The comet has an 80,000 year orbit

Comets are made of dust, rock, and ice, and are remnants from the formation of the solar system. As they orbit the sun, they heat up and release gases and dust, which form a tail.
