Caught this Emirates Airbus A380-842 flyover on Tuesday afternoon. It was leaving behind an impressive contrail. Plus, I caught a couple of interlopers passing through my screen as I shot the A380.

Ran outside this evening to catch a Saudi Cargo Boeing 747-412F flying overhead. Got lucky as it flew right below the very bright waxing gibbous Moon.

Ran out to Tri-Cities Airport Sunday afternoon when I received an alert that the local Tucano was flying in. When I arrived at TRI, I see this RCAF CH-146 Griffon sitting on the ramp. Got video of the Tucano arriving and departing. Then stuck around for the Griffon to startup and depart. Look for those two videos in the near future on my Aerowephile YouTube channel. Cheers!

Saga of the stranded U.S. Navy Osprey at Tri-Cities Airport - Part 1.

A United States Navy Bell Boeing CMV-22B Osprey from Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 40 “Mighty Bison” based in Norfolk, VA, made an emergency landing at Tri-Cities Airport (KTRI) after getting a warning of a potential gearbox failure. With the Osprey unable to fly back to Norfolk, the U.S. Navy sent a second Osprey to TRI to rescue the stranded crew members. I arrived at TRI in time to catch the rescue Osprey’s arrival and departure.

A group of U.S. Army Sikorsky MH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) made a refueling stop at Tri-Cities Airport (KTRI) on a rainy Monday afternoon. I arrived just as one Black Hawk was taking off. The second Black Hawk was starting up, and I was able to film it warming up and taxing out for takeoff. Watch for the v***r trails coming off the helicopter rotors.
