Emily and Ben's wedding was classic in every way, full of family traditions and sweet little stories that made the day so special. Emily's dad owns the classic 1940s Jaguar, which was originally owned by her great-grandpa. The gorgeous car makes an appearance at every kid's wedding in the family, and it has been in at least 5 so far! The history doesn't stop there: Emily's grandparents were the first couple ever to be married at their church after it was built. It was the coolest thing hearing how her family's history is woven into to many parts of their day.

Another cool thing that happened on their wedding day: When we were taking portraits near Quarton Lake, a man who lives nearby came over to say we could use his home's landscaping for photos if we wanted to. His home was absolutely adorned with roses in full bloom. Emily's dad pulled the Jaguar into the driveway, and we got some beautiful photos with his roses and fountain. The sweet man also gave Emily and Ben a two dollar bill for good luck. I love that these beautiful images have a fun story behind them!

Emily and Ben have such an infectious fun and bubbly energy about them. I loved them since our initial meeting and was so happy to be a part of their day. It was such a sweet and fun celebration!

Alyssa and Adam's wedding day was truly the best. Every person was kind, supportive, and so fun. Every single detail was beautiful. Their classic style is unmatched — I can't get over how effortlessly elegant and chic the entire day turned out to be. Their party was one for the ages, with incredible live entertainment and a surprise guest from their alma mater: Sparty! The toasts were hilarious, the first dances were sweet, and the party never stopped. Most of all, Alyssa and Adam's chemistry is off the charts and these two couldn't have been more perfect together. It was such an honor to be a part of their fairytale day.

Alison and Sam enjoyed a magical wedding day, complete with the snow they were hoping for. Everybody was so happy that nobody even minded the cold. Saint John's resort is spectacular and cozy at Christmastime and was the perfect setting for their December wedding. It was truly a lovely day filled with love and warmth and friendship and everything else good you can imagine!

Ariana and Alec's wedding day was absolutely perfect for a lot of reasons. These two have the biggest smiles and laughed all day long — and not just reserved giggles, but those big belly laughs that light up your face and make everybody else around you laugh, too. The weather was incredible (sunny and mid 70s at the end of October in Michigan? A miracle!). Their wedding was filled with Greek traditions and ended with a super fun nighttime bubble "exit" with their bridal party and parents (a first for me, and I loved it!). But what made it extra special for me is that Ariana used to be one of my yearbook editors when I was teaching at Novi High School, so I already knew and loved her before their wedding day. It was one of those days that remind me how much I LOVE my job, and I'm still smiling about it!

There was rain in the forecast for Baylee and Trever's engagement session last night, and she texted to ask me what we should do... reschedule, or...? I always say if the rain looks light or intermittent and you're still down, let's go for it! I'm so glad we didn't reschedule because the rain stopped about 5 minutes into our session, and we had a beautiful, evenly lit overcast day and the whole metropark to ourselves.

I LOVE the genuine joy and chemistry in these photos... Baylee and Trever were so cute together and made my job so easy!

How did I forget to share this absolutely beautiful wedding from a few weeks ago? Courtney and Kevin's Royal Park Hotel wedding is one of my favorites to date! I've known Courtney's family for a few years now and was so thrilled when they contacted me about Courtney's wedding. There's nothing better than celebrating with clients I love and witnessing two sweet families come together to form another.

Nichole and Jake had the most special wedding day last Friday at the incredible Cornman Farms. A beautiful, emotionally tender day ended with one of the best dance parties I've ever seen. The decor was insanely beautiful, the food was delicious, and Nichole and Jake could not have looked more in love. So happy to have captured it for them ❤️ Plus did I mention there were goats?

These two! They did it!

Meghan and Mike had the perfect wedding day on Saturday. The kind of day where everything is dreamy and happy and fun. It was SUCH a good day. They are the best people (and they have the best friends!) I'm still smiling about it.

Some highlights: Meghan's classic style (I LOVE the statement bow on the back of her dress!) and the way these two incorporated their sweet ring bearers and flower girls into their wedding day. Meghan even offered each kid a bite of cake right after they cut it — it was the cutest!

Sara and Dan's wedding day might go down as one of my favorites for exactly the opposite reason that you'd expect. The weather threw us some CRAZY curveballs all day long with bursts of pouring rain, followed by full sun, followed by another downpour... not ideal on a wedding day! After some rain during their first look and no more rain on the radar, Sara and Dan started their beautiful outdoor ceremony. Mother Nature had other plans for them, and not 5 minutes into their ceremony, it started POURING. Nobody really knew how to proceed and everybody started taking cover once it was clear that the rain wasn't going to let up. Many discussions later, Sara and Dan decided to finish their ceremony indoors during cocktail hour. They had to wait a little longer to make their marriage official, but they sure have a great story!

But the reason their wedding is one of my favorites is because Sara and Dan were so happy and upbeat through it all. The setbacks were enough to have any bride in tears, but Sara smiled through it all while her mom wrung buckets of water out of her dress train. Sara and Dan are some of the sweetest and most selfless people I've met, and it was really beautiful to watch them finally say I Do.

Some other memorable moments from their day: a prank first look with Dan's best man and a surprise choreographed first dance at the reception!

Elizabeth and Mike had a classic, elegant, and timeless wedding last Saturday (all thanks to Elizabeth's vision and styling: she arranged the florals herself and designed her own invitations as well!) Although the details were classic, their wedding was so uniquely THEM and included some fun Slovenian traditions, like an unveiling ceremony and a performance from Mike's polka band at the reception. One of my favorite parts of their day was the "grand exit" from their church immediately after they were pronounced husband and wife. Their family members and friends tossed flower petal confetti as they made their way down the staircase, and it was such a joyful moment!

Kelly and David tied the knot (literally — they tied a knot during their ceremony!) this past Saturday. The rain in the forecast cleared up, and they enjoyed a beautiful outdoor ceremony under a willow and dancing on the patio. Kelly and David were so sweet and relaxed all day long, just taking in everything and enjoying their time together. I'm so glad they chose to have me there! 🥰
