I have been constantly harassed in my personal life by an individual since July 2021. I never intended to bring this matter into my business life, however, this person has brought my business into it so I feel the need to address it.

Yesterday, they attacked me personally by mentioning my business page in a lengthy Facebook post and commented the same text on a number of my Facebook posts.

I want to make it abundantly clear that this person has never been a client of mine (I cut this person off in July 2021, the same month I formed my business) and anything they say is not an authentic reflection of my business or any services rendered.

I am sorry to anyone that may have seen the post or any of the comments. I am sorry to address this aspect of my personal life.

I strive to be authentic and raw, I am an open book and I am happy to discuss any concerns about my morality with past, current and future clients.

At this time, I will not be releasing any details about this person, the type of harassment I have received or my side of the story.

My son was born via c-section following a 74 hour induction. We struggled to breastfeed so I exclusively pumped for a year.

I felt like I failed. Like I gave birth, but not really. Like I breastfed, but not really.

I went on to have an uncomplicated, undisturbed, unassisted VBAC with my daughter. She latched beautifully the hour she was born and has been exclusively breastfed since.

Breastfeeding my daughter in the same corner where I roared her into this world has been one of the most redemptive experiences for me. Turns out, I’m not broken. The system is.

This toddler was present during labor and the birth of her new baby brother. She could hardly wait to start doing big sister things and an hour after baby was born, she pulled out some books to share with him 📚

Some argue that having children present at birth may scare them or be traumatic for them, but my belief is that normalizing birth begins with having children present. Prepare them by talking to them during pregnancy; tell them what it’s going to look like, sounds like, smell like. I think you’d be surprised at how they respond to birth.

I started reading “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” early in my first pregnancy. There’s a section in there that explains the different places and types of providers you can choose to see for your pregnancy and birth, which is helpful for someone like me who didn’t know the first thing about pregnancy.

They mentioned obstetricians in a hospital, midwives in a hospital, midwives in a birth center, and home birth midwives. But they forgot to mention one option… no provider at all.
