When Katie told me she and Jason were getting married in Idaho, and wanted me there to document it, I don’t think I even let her finish the sentence before I was already planning on it. 🥹

Some people just make sense together, and the way Jason loves Katie is one of those things. I could not have imagined a better match for her.

There’s something incredibly special about being trusted with memories like these. The kind that will be looked back on for decades. The kind that become part of a family’s story.

So grateful I get to capture this with these two and document the beginning of this chapter. What a beautiful day, beautiful people, and a beautiful kind of love. 🤍

My camera roll reminded me I took this almost exactly a year ago today. 🥹 An absolute favorite.

I can still feel that day in my chest.

I remember where my head and heart was at that day. I remember why my heart skipped a beat when my drone passed over, and the story it told me.

It’s one reason why imagery matters so much to me. Photos don’t just document what something looked like, they preserve entire versions of us. Feelings. Seasons. People.

It’s amazing how one image can quietly hold so much emotion inside it. 🤍 I hope it makes you feel something too.

I know this day looks different for everybody. More now than ever, I understand that.
