The bond between siblings is something truly special, and it was a joy to watch them celebrate these milestones together in kimono.
At age three, children traditionally celebrate kamioki, marking the time when they are allowed to begin growing their hair after early childhood. At seven, girls celebrate obitoki, the moment they transition to wearing a proper obi, symbolizing growth and readiness to step into the next stage of childhood.
Seeing them honor both kamioki (3) and obitoki (7) side by side brought so much warmth to the day. Moments like this, filled with laughter, silly faces and closeness, are what make Shichi Go San so meaningful.
