Congratulations to Robert Royce, Tim Cooper, Dan Kehde and the cast of talented professional dancers and musicians on an absolutely GORGEOUS and moving World Premiere set of performances of "The Legacy" ballet at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia. Here are a few highlights from the final show on Friday night.

This will be one that I remember for a very, very long time. We can do incredible things here in little Charleston, WV. I am so proud to have been along for and associated with this production over the last few months; from the initial artwork for the show, to the numerous days with long hours in the various dance studios around town for rehearsals, to Tech Week, thru tonight's final performance.

My creative heart and soul is very full right now. Thank you.

Some highlight photos from Wednesday night's final dress rehearsal for "The Legacy," a NEW and ORIGINAL ballet by Robert Royce, Dan Kehede, and a score featuring Mark Scarpelli's music arranged by Tim Cooper, that *WORLD PREMIERES* THURSDAY and FRIDAY at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia.

There are SO MANY more incredible moments and photos I would LOVE to share, but I would MUCH rather you COME SEE IT IN PERSON so you can see and experience it for yourself.

I genuinely hope that Charleston and the tri-state REGION shows up BIG-TIME to support this endeavor.

Tonight was the 1st night of rehearsal with the live string quartet for "The Legacy," a NEW and ORIGINAL ballet by Robert Royce, Dan Kehede, and a score featuring Mark Scarpelli's music arranged by Tim Cooper, that debuts this week at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia.

This ballet is about the creativity that lives inside every artist, and the process of getting that out and sharing it with the world, and the IMPACT that that art has on the lives of those that encounter it, and how experiencing that affects the world. As my friend Jesse Tidquist put it so eloquently, "'The Legacy' is an homage to anyone who has been through the artistic process. For anyone who has ever questioned whether what they put into the world is impactful, this ballet shows you YES. The ripple effect is a real thing in so many ways."

Supporting this performance supports the arts and cements its importance not only to our local arts community in the state and region, but also the worlds arts community as a whole.

Its more beautiful than I imagined, now that that I've seen in on stage. I cant show too much, but please trust me that you should really make the effort to come see this production on Thursday or Friday at 7:30.

I genuinely hope that Charleston and the tri-state REGION shows up BIG-TIME to support this endeavor.

Do any of my dancer friends in the Beckley/ Fayetteville/ Oak Hill area have any interest in serving as a model for the Professional Photographers of West Virginia Fall Convention?

I am in need of 1-2 models on Friday September 11th from 12pm-6pm and Sunday September 13th from 9am-12pm for my friend Matt Canterbury/ m.c.c._photography who will be teaching a lighting class both of those days in Oak Hill.

I am not sure about monetary compensation, but I would bet that the photographers in attendance would happily give you the photos.

Ideally looking for 18+, male or female.

Please message me ASAP if you are available and interested. I know most of the photographers in attendance and they are all extremely talented.
