I am a Photographer living in Lavallette, NJ. Photography has always been my first love. I have been shooting camera's with my Father for 40 years! He taught me how to "see" through my camera

For many years I have been tossing the idea around about opening a photography business. But, as we all know, life does get in the way sometimes. Well life is not in my way anymore! This little side business

is exploding and I am very excited about it. I am ready to take this on and do what I love. I know some of you are wondering about my cookbook. Don't worry; I am working hard on that as well. I think it is time to combine my love of camera's and cooking and see what happens! Through this page I am hoping to get my idea's and story's to you via photo's. I hope from my photo's my personality will come out so you can see what drives me. This page is a work in progress so please hang in there with me. Let me introduce myself! My name is Megan and I recently took over what was formally known as Mandolis and is now Coastal Confections.

I am from a small town outside of Philadelphia who has worked in the restaurant industry my entire career. From waitressing to running, baking and cakes I have loved the industry since I could remember.
How did I get here? I graduated Walnut Hill College at the top of my class with a bachelors degree in pastry arts. Worked at a local known bakery back home. I began my journey to New Jersey as a waitress at martells tiki bar and then transitioned  into a pastry cook at Charlie’s of bayhead. While I worked under executive pastry Chef Angela, I learned so much and really developed into a pastry Chef myself.
I stumbled across a once in a life time opportunity to take over a legacy Amanda and Nicole built at Mandolis. It was very loved by the community and it is my honor to continue that.

I am 26 years old, I am eager to perfect my craft, and I have quite the hand full as I am the only employee so far. I look forward to the relationships with the community and be apart of your life celebrations. Thank you for having me downtown Tom’s river.
