Graduating Kindergarten with your cousin seems like so much fun!
Growing up with my cousins was one of the sweetest times of my childhood. They were my best friends through and through!
I clearly remember the scandals we'd scheme up to make our parents give in to sleepovers!! You know the ones where you were told to ask their parent because she wouldn't say NO to you!
Another fond memory I will never forget about childhood was the smell in Mrs. Brown's Kindergarten classroom! CRAYOLA AND ELMERS GLUE with a little mix of CONSTRUCTION PAPER!
I still remember her voice and gray hair. She would scold us when we were wrong but man, she'd love on us too!! Her room layout will forever be etched in my mind. I learned so much from her that first year of school. We didn't have pre-k or preschool then; we just had lots of love and energy!!
While taking these sweet girl's pictures on the playground, those smells took me over and I was having flashbacks of playing with all my friends on the marry-go-round and playing kings and queens in the forts! We were living our best lives back then.
Before new technology we had imaginations beyond anything the internet could ever offer!
I cooked up many stone soups and leaf pies! Did they taste good?! Absolutely!! Per my husband back then (the king), the best he ever had!!
So, to these sweet girls, change the world, don't let the world change you! Play with your cousins, invite the odd man out to play, take in the smells and most importantly LOVEEEEEEE!!
XOXOXO
