Deep within the frozen tundra of North Carolina, the elusive snow-saurus is observed carefully harvesting winter powder. Armed with ceremonial mittens, unshakeable determination, and ancient instinct, it is an essential ritual passed down through generations. The young snow-saurus then collects the bounty in a ziploc bag to stow in the freezer at his lair until the next blizzard. It could sit in the freezer for days, months, or even years. Truly remarkable.

I was going through old photos and paused on this one for a while. It was taken at The Never Ending Flower Farm in Barnardsville, NC just one month before Hurricane Helene. Out of all the shiny cars at Luft Wasser this weekend, the real showstopper was the extra kind gentleman who invited my curious 4yo to sit in his beautiful vintage Porsche. Went to The Blossom Jar this morning to show my kiddo what it’s like to buy flowers on Valentine’s Day, and he was shown so much kindness by the ladies working there and a man shopping there. Thank you for making his (and my) day! It’s a great reminder that the best gift in the world is a random act of kindness.
