Tomorrow marks one year since we moved back to the Nashville area. Friday the 13th was move in day (go figure), and Saturday the 14th the world started closing. We had about three rolls of toilet paper because we were too busy packing to panic buy with everyone else. My husband stood in line at Costco at dawn to get a golden ticket, and lucky for us, they had gotten a new shipment. While the shut down was convenient for unpacking and settling in, it threw a wild kink in my plans to transfer my business and get some word of mouth traction. I was homeschooling kindergarten and trying not to completely give up on a somewhat normal routine (and my sanity). I neglected my camera - even shooting my own kids in their element fell by the wayside. We were surviving, not thriving, and it became a habit. Fast forward to kids back in school with a normal routine and some time for finishing house projects and boredom, I’m ready to get back at it. Lucky for me, I have some wonderful friends here that have allowed me to flex my photography muscles again - and it feels so good. Long story short, I’m open for booking. Tell your friends, and keep me in mind for your next family moments!

I have two new nephews, but both are in Texas and I haven’t been able to take a trip to visit yet. Taking this little guy’s newborn photos was super helpful with my fomo.

Back in January I made a “resolution” to be more active on my business gram. Guess you can all see how resolutions typically work out for me. It’s almost March and I’ve posted twice. TWICE. My real world life has been consumed with securing our new home in Brentwood (read - giving our lenders ridiculous amounts of information in one at a time fashion and stressing a lot), prepping, repairing, staging, showing, negotiating the sale and re-negotiating repairs of our current house, single momming two absolute nut jobs while my husband is working in Nashville during the week, closing on the new house, lining up movers, registering for new schools, and scheduling repairs and fulllll house paint on the new place all before we move. We‘re excited, it’s a great step in my husband’s career, and everyone is healthy - we are thankful! But boy. It’s been quite the kick off to our year. I did manage to squeeze in a fun senior session though, so that’s cause for a third post of the year. @ Collierville, Tennessee

We had a good amount of traffic on our house this weekend, which meant a lot of time killing away from home. No bites yet, but hopefully we’ll get something soon. Until then, I’ll just read too much into the incredibly vague commentary we’ve received so far, and look at this little cutie who just turned one.
