There’s a reason fall is the most sought-after season for family photos.

The beautiful light, the changing colors, the cozy layers.

But mostly, it’s the feeling of this season of life.

That little pull to slow down, take it all in, and document your family just as they are before another year slips away.

Every year, I watch families come back to their photos and realize just how quickly their children have changed.

And while I love seeing those images on a screen, there’s something different about holding them in your hands.

So if you’re planning your family photos this fall, think about where those memories will live.

From the elegance of Palace of Fine Arts to the iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge — this session was pure magic.

It took us over a year to finish this custom heirloom album. But it was so epic, we had to print two additional copies for the grandparents.

This wasn’t just a photoshoot.
It was an experience.

Can't wait to see what adventures I get to document for this family this year! 🥰

How to prepare for a stress-free newborn session.

Tip #1

Warm up the room we will be shooting at. I like it to be around 75 F -- it's nice and warm for the baby and still tolerable for parents!

Warmth helps baby stay cozy and sleepy.

Everything you need to know before baby’s first photoshoot 🌿

Your newborn session is all about slowing down, soaking in these fleeting first days, and capturing the sweetness of your baby just as they are. Here’s what to expect:

⏰ Session Duration
We usually start around 9 a.m., when babies tend to be calmest. Sessions typically last 2–3 hours, but we move entirely at your baby’s pace. There’s always time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes — no rush, ever.

🌿 Props & Outfits
I bring a curated collection of hand-crafted wraps, headbands, and tiny outfits, all in soft, timeless tones. Before your session, we’ll chat about the colors and styles you love so I can bring pieces that feel like you. I’m all about simplicity, subtle beauty, and letting your baby be the star of every frame.

🍼 Feeding
Try to feed your baby right before the session, so they begin calm, cozy, and full. A sleepy, happy baby helps us capture those dreamy, snuggly shots everyone loves. Don’t worry if they need a top-up mid-session, breaks are part of the flow.

A Frozen wonderland for a very loved little girl ❄️✨ Turning 3 was nothing short of magical with Elsa, Anna, and a full-on indoor snowstorm that had the kids (and grown-ups!) in awe.

Her parents go above and beyond to make sure every birthday feels magical, and this little girl will grow up knowing just how deeply she is cherished. 💙

I don’t usually photograph birthdays, but I’ll always make an exception for this family… especially if indoor blizzards are involved. 😉

From start to finish, this Frozen celebration was nothing short of epic: princesses, snow, sing-along, balloon animals and face painting! It was one of those parties that will be talked about for weeks! A true fairytale brought to life! ✨❄️💙

This family holds such a special place in my heart!

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of capturing their journey through many different photoshoots,
and each one has been a chapter in their beautiful story.

From the joy of welcoming a newborn, to
milestones that reflect how their love continues to grow, it’s been incredible to witness the
transformation of their lives through my lens. It’s families like this that remind me why I fell in love
with photography: to freeze moments in time that will be cherished forever.

I’m beyond grateful for their trust and loyalty. In 2024 we documented birthdays, holidays and epic
magazine-inspired photoshoots in San Francisco. Just flip through some of the photos of this year’s
sessions. I feel so lucky to be part of their journey.

Who wants to go to San Francisco for a photoshoot with me?? Because... it... is... EPIC!....
This is my 7th 😲 photoshoot together with this beautiful family and they wanted it to be a little something different... I think we achieved it and then some!
It is such a pleasure and honor to keep documenting this sweet 2.5 yrs old from the days when she was just a tiny newborn to now as an energetic and curious toddler. 🥰
