Well class of 2027 are you ready!?? I am sure your parents are not yet! Is it too early to get your Senior session? Honestly that all depends on you. Are you waiting for a jacket, ring, buckle or your cap and gown? I can provide cap and gowns, but the rest is up to you.

Senior sessions are $175 for new clients and $150 for returning clients. You get an hour of shooting time and ALL your images edited, and full side mailed to you on a thumb drive you provide. I highly encourage outfit changes, my standard suggestion is one dressy outfit and one casual.

Please note I am about to head out of town and will be closed from Sept 9 to the 15th. Thank you.

Throwback Thursday is of house model Nicole! I LOVED this shot but sadly I had lost it in my many moves. Thankfully Nicole had it and happily said she would e-mail this session, because I only had four shots from that very hot August day in Brenham Texas. A building downtown had burned down and the repairs on it were slow. I wasn't sure I would be able to shoot here so we slowly made our way to the site. Since it was almost noon the crew was all gone and we took three quick shots and then were off like a lawn chair in a hurricane!

Thanks, Nicole, for being so awesome in this session. I got the image I wanted and you looked amazing, as always! I really want to work with her again but she got promoted at her job and travels a bit now. But hopefully one day!

Throwback Thursday is a session that I LOVED doing because it was with two friends. John and Amiel, his wife. She had been modeling me for some time and we talking about doing a steampunk session. But I had a request, would John, her husband also come out to play?

Thankfully I have known John since first grade, so when he said yes I was so excited! He was the best model I could have asked for, being tall and of slim build he was also a natural at emoting in front of the camera. I miss working with them, but they are busy with life these days, which tends to happen. I am just grateful for the times I got with them both in front of the camera!

Please note I will be closed Sept. 9 - 13th because I will be on vacation with my best friend. I will be unreachable.

Thanks,
Olivia

Monday Motivation: Everyone should think about getting a cat. Now in no way am I a cat person. I don't collect cat figures, coffee mugs or read books on cats. I am firmly a dog and horse person. That being said I had adopted a cat some years ago, her name was Sarah. She lived to be 19 and a half! When she passed, I said no more cats. But I failed to see how much a small creature could be so comforting.

I had no one to read with, on winter days no one to get in my lap and look at me with a sleepy grin, and certainly no cat to find napping in the oddest of places. After a year and half I could not take it anymore. I started looking. Thankfully a facebook friend saw someone was rehoming Boots and thought we would be a good match. She has been with me for about four years now and I am so glad I got another cat. She is very different from Sarah but still a fun creature to share life with and my dogs enjoy her as much as I do. Cats, can't live with them, can't live without them!

What a pleasure to cover the baby shower for baby Jeremiah and his mom Destiny. Her family means so much to me. Her mom, Leslie, and I were friends in high school. But more importantly, after my divorce they attended church with me and made me feel right at home when I moved back to Cypress.

I rarely cover events, but when Leslie asked me to do this I of course said yes. Picking images to share from a lovely three hour shower is not easy. Plus I am not done editing images yet. But I looked at the folder of shots completed and picked a few that I really loved.

Destiny your images will be done next Saturday, as will the baby blanket, I am crocheting for you, that I did not have done by the time of your shower! My bad! Big hugs to your family, and please know I am always here if you or your mom ever need me!

Love,
Olivia

Monday Motivation: Do the little things that you keep putting off that bring you joy. Try that new coffee shop, read that book sitting in your TBR pile and see that friend that is on your mind. Because life is not just the big moments, it's hundreds of thousands of little ones.

Picking a teaser for today's baby shower was pretty much a no brainer! Mother and daughter was the way to go, and baby soon to be. Such a beautiful shower that was fun, with great food, and wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who made my job easier and didn't mind me pointing a camera at you all today. More of the Jeremiah baby shower in a week!

Also please note I will be out of town September 9th - 13th so I will be close and also unreachable as I head to a comic show with my best friend. WOO! time to get nerdy.

Flashback Friday is of Leah! I love when I get to see her. She was along for a shoot I was doing with my then house model Amiel. Tall, with a great smile, and a sweet personality I asked Leah to pose for a few shots on the fly while Amiel was adjusting her dress. The light was great and I knew I wanted this image to be black and white.

Come again soon Leah!

Tomorrow I am covering a baby shower so I will be unreachable most of the day. If you need me, please text and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
