📸 “You’re SO good with kids!”

I hear this all the time during sessions, and honestly… my secret is pretty simple:

I let kids be KIDS. 😂🤎

If we’re at a newborn session and little Johnny — aka the very proud new BIG BROTHER — decides he wants to be my assistant… congratulations, Johnny, you’ve officially been hired. 😂👏🏼

Need a wrap? Johnny’s got it.
Need a pillow? He’s on it.
Want to push the button on my camera and watch that BIG flash go off?! 📸⚡️
BEST. JOB. EVER.

Sometimes giving big siblings a little “job” is exactly what they need to feel included, important, and excited about photos with their new baby. 🥹

And outdoor family sessions?!

Ohhhh, we’re not just standing there saying CHEESE! 😂

✈️ We’re flying like airplanes.
🙌🏼 We’re swinging.
🏃🏼‍♀️ We’re running.
🙈 We’re playing peek-a-boo.

✨📸 HI, I’M CHASIDY — LET’S REINTRODUCE THE GIRL BEHIND THE LENS! 📸✨

There are quite a few new faces around here lately, so I figured it was time for a little reintroduction! 👋🏼 And for my OG clients who have been here forever… y’all probably already know I’m a little bit photographer, a little bit chaos coordinator, and a whole lot of sentimental. 😂🩷

I’m Chasidy — the girl behind Chasidy Shae Photography!

I’m the one behind the camera saying, “Okay, now everybody look at each other!” while making ridiculous noises to get your toddler to smile. 😂

A few things about me outside of photography…

🍷 W**e + charcuterie = my love language.
🎶 My editing playlist can go from 90s R&B straight into 90s country without warning.
🐶 I’m a dog mama and absolutely believe dogs belong in family photos.
🌿 I love small-town life, pretty sunsets, golden light, vintage things & anything that tells a story.
🙏🏼 My faith is a huge part of who I am and how I walk through life.
🩷 I live with chronic illness, including Lupus. Some days look different than others, but this little business has given me so much purpose, joy and some of the sweetest people in my life.

And after all these years behind the camera, one thing hasn’t changed…

I will choose REAL over PERFECT every single time.

The toddler who refuses to cooperate.
The baby snuggles.
The windblown hair.
The groom wiping away a tear.

🎄 A Little Christmas Mini Update! 🎄

I’m considering switching things up a little this year! ❤️

These two indoor Christmas setups may take the place of the outdoor setup I originally had planned. As much as I LOVE outdoor Christmas sessions, Texas weather is simply something we can never predict — rain, wind, heat, cold… sometimes all in the same week. 😂

Choosing these indoor setups would mean no stressing over the forecast, no last-minute weather reschedules, and a cozy, beautiful space for your Christmas photos! ✨

A new school year is officially here, and I want to take a moment to pray over and encourage the teachers, students, administrators, and families stepping into another year of learning, growing, and new beginnings. 🥹✨

To every teacher:
You may never fully know the impact you have on a child’s life. Your patience, your encouragement, your consistency, and even the little things you do matter more than you realize. When the days feel long and you wonder if you’re making a difference, remember—you are. 🤍

To every student:
You are capable. You are loved. You are more than a grade, a test score, or a mistake. Give yourself grace, work hard, be kind, and never be afraid to ask for help. You have so much ahead of you! 📚✨

Lord,
