How many photos for your real estate listing?

More isn’t always better. Better is better. I think that there is an idea floating around that more expensive listings need more photos. When searching online, most potential buyers will make up their mind if they want to view a property in the first dozen images. Knowing this, a lot of agents start with the best photos, and then include the less visually appealing images at the end. This just results in viewers getting less excited as they look at more photos.

Wow I really love my job. And I like my new Insta360 x6 and Lumiere Camera Strap.

This week, I’ll be combining many of my passions — my camera, a bike and a great cause. I’ll be joining Bristol Myers Squibb employees for another Coast to Coast for Cancer ride, documenting their journey as they ride across the country to raise awareness and support for cancer research.

This will be my seventh Coast to Coast ride, and this year I’ll be riding with the team from Kansas City to Indianapolis. It’s an incredible experience every time—not just because of the miles, but because of the people, stories, and camaraderie along the way.

Enjoy some of the 2025 Coast to Coast photos shown here. Timothy Faust Photography

Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.

It’s the first day of Fall, the leaves are changing, and crisp weather is coming.

It’s such a pleasure to capture the beauty of the season and share it with you. 📸 Timothy Faust Photography

Preparing your property for photography

📸 Timothy Faust Photography

1. Start by making sure the property is thoroughly cleaned. Pay special attention to windows and reflective surfaces like mirrors and stainless steel.

2. Make sure all lights are working, and bulbs are the same color. Check lights you might not use often like above the stove. Turn on all lights prior to arrival.

3. Make sure all window treatments are working. Open all window treatments prior to arrival.

4. For twilight shoots, make sure any exterior fireplaces are working, and provide direction on how to start them. Interior fireplaces are handled in post production.

5. Make sure any beds are made perfectly. Wrinkles show up pretty dramatically in photos.

Supporting the Community ✨

Photography has given me the opportunity to connect with incredible people and places, and I believe it’s equally important to give back to the community that supports me. I’m proud to support local organizations such as the National Repertory Orchestra National Repertory Orchestra Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center BOEC Adaptive and Theatre SilCo Theatre SilCo —organizations that enrich our community through music, education, the outdoors, and the arts.

Supporting these organizations is one small way we can help preserve and strengthen the community we’re fortunate to call home.
