I’m baaaaccccckkkkkk!
It has been a MINUTE and I have lots to catch up on with you all. I took a year off from doing photography full-time to really re-evaluate my goals and aspirations for my business and my life. I spent that time focussing on my new day job and enjoying some much needed time with family and loved ones! I’ve continued to do photography for friends and family but am eager to start working with people outside of my network again🙂
If I can be transparent, I learned a ton from the 6 months I did photography full time and one thing I learned was, maaaaybe full-time was not for me😂 Photography is a hobby of mine that I’ve enjoyed doing since I was little and when I took it on as my full time gig, I found that I was dreading picking up the camera and I had really lost my spark and passion for it. So I took some time off from it as a whole, got re-immersed into my day job ambition, and decided that doing photography as a side gig was more my speed. And that’s okay! Being a full time photographer is not for the faint of heart, believe me. It is a ton of work, pressure, time and attention to detail that can be so fulfilling but also very draining both physically and mentally. It was taking away my joy of doing something I’ve always loved, and I did not want lose that passion for myself, but also, lose that passion in my work. I want to make sure that my heart is 100% in it for all of my clients I work with so that we can do our very best at capturing the important moments and memories to last a lifetime together.
So moving forward, I am excited to continue accepting clients and inquiries for weddings, second shooter gigs, engagements, proposals, family photos, maternity, headshots, etc. but with a bit more mindfulness of my capacity to do so! Thank you to everyone who was patient and supportive in my journey to discover my limits and balance of business vs passion.
Feel free to DM me or contact me on my website to inquire about your next memorable moment you want to capture!❤️
