Weekend Vibes! ✨

Would you believe me if I told you it stormed before AND after this session? We've been in a severe drought for weeksssss, but in true fashion...Louisiana Marie decided to act up! The kicker? We had ONE DAY to make it happen. With half of this crew traveling in from Texas, we didn't have an option to reschedule. I stalked the weather app for days. It changed hour to hour. I prayed to the weather Gods, tried to remain calm and hopeful, and might have relied on one too many emotional support iced coffees.

An hour before the session I traveled across town to our location. Opened my weather app and zoomed in on the radar. We had THIRTY MINUTES in between showers. We rolled with it!

The results? PURE CHILDHOOD MAGIC!

This is what happens when you trust your photographer and go with the flow. We can't control the weather but we can make lemonade out of lemons.

You know what I will never get over? Other photographers trusting ME to photograph their most precious moments. Especially when it's a photographer that also photographs newborns AND travels from out of town to get to me. There is no greater compliment!

• Newborn girl 7-21 days old
• Must be willing to travel to my studio in Breaux Bridge, LA
• Specific props and accessories will be used for this session so you must be ok with allowing creative freedom.
• Must be ok with behind the scenes + final edited images and video being shared on social media
• Can NOT have a session booked with another photographer. (This is a non negotiable. I respect the industry too much to let this one slide.)

Who said graduation sessions are just for high school seniors?!

8th grade graduation sessions are the perfect way to capture what I feel is the biggest milestone! That HUGE transition from middle school to high school deserves to be documented!

Random selfie from last week when I attempted (and mostly failed) to organize my studio before a session to send a quick reminder:

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁. I try my best to make the booking process as simple and seamless as possible through my website, but limited availability and a mostly full calendar requires me to verify all dates before confirming your inquiry and sending a booking link. It’s a simple step by step process that is necessary to keep my calendar balanced so that I can give every session the attention that it deserves. This is so important to me!

Although I will always try to accommodate as best as possible, I have to follow this setup to keep things running smoothly. Of course there will be hiccups and changes along the way, but this Type B creative needs a game plan to stay on task and somewhat organized.

To book a session:

- Head to my website
- Fill out the inquiry form with as much information as possible (session type, preferred date or estimated due date if you’re pregnant, and any other info that might be helpful in the notes)
- I will reply with available dates
- You confirm which date works best and request a booking link
- I will send booking link via email
- Once paid and contract is signed, your session will automatically pop up on my calendar and you will be locked in!

Don’t quit your daydream. ✨💕📸

A little now and then comparison. Back when the newborn photography industry was a baby and we were all just trying to figure it out. Sessions using whatever light was available (natural light), beanbags in the corner of client homes, makeshift studios setup on back patios, TJ MAXX blankets as backdrops. Those of us that started 15+ years ago joke that today’s photographers have it easy. They didn’t go through that awkward stage. They have resources and knowledge at their fingertips. Meanwhile I look back and wonder how and why. Because some of those first few sessions…y’all. Thank God so many people believed in me!
