Each and every year, CSX continues a cherished Clinchfield tradition by running the Santa Train, made up of their Office Car fleet paired with a couple of specialized coaches that makes 14 stops in various communities through Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. For 83 years, Santa has brought joy to the thousands of children in the Appalachian region thanks to railroads such as the Clinchfield and CSX.

This year, Dad and I opted to go off the rails so to speak and hike 5 miles through the pitch black darkness and pouring rain to shoot the Santa Train passing through North Towers, before capturing some additional photos at Dante, Osbournes Curve, Copper Creek Trestle and Click Tunnel, all seen within this mini-documentary on the 83rd run of a classic Clinchfield Tradition.
