Hello Friends! I've been reflecting like most of you on the previous year, and the thoughts/plans for 2025. That includes my thoughts over this business! Bear with me.
2024 was a year filled to the brim with so many things:
-My husband and I became foster parents
-Moved into a house we built with our heart and souls
-Raised an amazing little toddler
-Attempted our first round of IVF
-I traveled the country filming people in love, with people I love beside me, helping make it happen!
It was truly such a blessing filled year, despite the many heartaches and challenges it brought. I've been attempting to re-develop a sense of myself in motherhood; to be honest I thought that by toddler years I would have already figured that back out... unfortunately it's taking longer than I anticipated.
While I don't have all the answers, or maybe not even 10% of them...I'm working on it! I want to spend 2025 doing things that I love, finding new things I love and getting back a sense of who I am.
So let me get to the "Business Point" of this! There are 2 pivots I want to make this year!
One: I love the western/agriculture industry and want to get more involved in filming and photographing the people within those industries. "Think" marketing and social media films for Your family businesses, cattle operations, homesteads, gardens, ranches and anything in between.
Second: After having a little family of my own, I don't want to miss out on the little moments of growing old. Of course I mean your children growing up, but I also mean the love you have with your spouse, or parents, or closest friends. I want to begin creating family films for you-- whether that is the first few tender days of bringing a new baby home, recording the stories your grandparents have told you throughout the years, cooking supper and dancing in the kitchen, or the chaos of letting 3 boys run around your home wrecking havoc.
For those already booked with me for Wedding Films + Photos - of course I'm still your gal--- and if you haven't booked yet, I would absolutely still love to talk to you. This post is mainly to bring to life the pivot I want to make to include more of the small intimate moments of life.
