Friday Scarlett Update:

-This morning she had a productive cough on her own! This was a first and was witnessed by her nurse who got to suction it out of the tube (gross but so happy!).

-Yesterday’s morphine wean went well, so they are dropping it down again today.

-if anyone knows Doris Morrison (Guinea), you know that she adores her grandbabies! I’m so glad that I always force our family to take random pics at random times 💕

We are missing you all. We sent our Rolen back to Ava to make the rounds this weekend and get a taste of home before coming back up. If you see him out in the wild, send us a selfie with him!

Praying today for her cough to strengthen and a FULL BODY HEALING! Our God is the one true life giving God and we have been praying the name of Jesus over her each day. Mark 5:41. We continue to pray for her medical team, which truly has been so good to our family.

Wednesday Scarlett Update:

-today should be a quiet day. They are pausing the morphine weaning at the current levels. She was warm overnight and they are attributing that to withdrawal.

-they are stopping the antibiotics as her cultures have not grown anything.

-respiratory change, they are going to decrease the pressure from an 8 over 5 to 6 over 5 (this is good).

-no other medicine changes today. Our medical team has been so good about moving slow and allowing Scarlett’s body to heal so that she is at her strongest prior to the trial without the breathing tube.

-We are praying for Scarlett’s breathing to remain strong with the vent changes. We praise God for each miracle that has been provided so far. We continue to pray for Scarlett’s cough to strengthen and present itself to her medical team. We pray for complete healing and restoration of our sweet girl. Mark 5:41.

Thursday Scarlett update:

-Today they let us know that Scarlett can feel pain. Yesterday we saw her form tears for the first time. They are unsure of what other sensations, if any, she is currently capable. Each day we see small miracles and progress. We thank God for each one. We continue to pray for Scarlett’s healing as well as the well being of the staff who are caring for her. We believe that Scarlett is being healed in the name of Jesus! Mark 5:41.

06/27/2025

Friday Scarlett Update:

-We are continuing to pray for complete healing for Scarlett, specifically relating to her brain and the upcoming MRI next week. We are also praying for her lungs as some possible pneumonia was spotted on this morning’s xray.

-the nurses last night moved Scarlett so that Shelby could lay next to her in bed. We have been blessed with a very compassionate team at the hospital.

-today they will move her feeding tube past her stomach into her intestines to help with some spitting up that she experienced yesterday.

-thee eeg came back yesterday to collect data on movements that we had been seeing. The neurologists concluded that the activity is not seizures! They believe it is likely neurostorming related to her injury and will begin treating for it. The eeg has once again been removed. Her pupils remain responsive.

-she is beginning a round of antibiotics related to increased yellowing of respiratory secretions. This will be a 5 day round of anti-pneumonia treatment.

-she had multiple bowel movements yesterday so that was a positive.

-they will be in this afternoon to continue to wean her off her ventilator which is also a positive. She remains sedated and in critical condition.

-Everyday we see God stacking up little miracles. We believe that Scarlett will be healed and restored! We appreciate continued prayers for our girl because this battle isnt over! We were able to watch the Cross Point Church prayer event & it was so moving. Mark 5:41

Thank you to all the support back home! We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support for our family.
