A man named Mr. Owen built these steps so that he and his wife could walk down, to see the waterfall near their home. He built them just wide enough so they could hold hands and walk next to each other. Him, his brothers, and friends spent a whole year, building these 340 steps for his wife. Their love story has truly stood the test of time.
The quote from the second picture: “Let those who tread here not forget, that these steps were not made of stone and mortar alone, but of sweat, blood, and agony.”
