Same mountain, same lake, same tree, same rock, same girl... almost 20 years later :) Both times, she had no idea I was taking her picture. She always thinks I'm too enamored with my fly fishing. She doesn't understand that the girl is much more interesting. :) Kari Elliott

Our 2nd episode is out. Not sure the best way to share, I don't think fb likes spotify, so the link is in the comments.

Episode 2: It's Greek To Me
What does it look like to live with real peace when relationships are strained, life is painful, and anxiety keeps pulling at your mind?

In this episode, we walk through Philippians 4:2–7 and uncover the rich meaning behind Paul’s words about agreement, joy, gentleness, prayer, thanksgiving, and the peace of God. Through honest conversation, personal stories, and a closer look at the original Greek, we discover that contentment is not found in avoiding hardship. It is built through faithful, daily choices that bring our hearts and minds back under the care of Christ.

This episode offers a practical and deeply biblical recipe for navigating conflict, suffering, worry, and the pursuit of a steady, joyful life in the Lord.

Happy anniversary to the girl who's always right there with me, thick and thin, showing me and living out the character of Christ day in and day out. I'm so grateful we've been able to work together all these years. I don't know anyone on this earth who could tolerate such a ragamuffin, especially during a shoot. On our last shoot she stepped into a deep pool of black sludge that looked like it must contain every sort of bacteria known to man, all to save a light being blown over by the wind.
Her valiant action saved all future shoots, so I thought it was fitting to post a shot of her with said rescued light. It must've been a premonition, because this was the shot I snapped of her before the session as we were waiting for our client. You wouldn't know it, but this is her in her common role "pre-session", helping calm my nerves, which none of you ever see, because she gives me this look before every shoot. How can anybody have anxiety with this face looking back at you? She's got true grit, this one, to say the least. Kari Elliott

Nearly 20 years ago we were at this same spot. I was looking for the little pine tree and realized, just like our kids, it’s all grown up.
This time instead of being behind the lens I set the timer and flash on my packs, so the perspective is a little different than last time.

working with Degaje Studios for the Next Maker's Spotlight. This time we got to meet Maddie & Sam from Third Day Matcha and hear their story. Inspired by their experience in Japan, every drink is hand-whisked, low and slow with carefully sourced matcha. The second I smelled the caramel and sautéed bananas, I was sold. Even with orders coming one after another, they made drinks for our whole team to take with us after the session. And yes, it was delicious.

I wrote a song for this truck driver called Back In The Saddle with 18 wheels.
Now we’ve embarked on a podcast together. Last night his wife sent a pic of him getting to ride his horse for the first time in 3 years, so it seemed fitting to title the podcast Back In The Saddle.
I think it’s only appropriate his nickname should be 18 Wheels 😉 don’t ya think?

I got to shoot some great pics with Degaje Studios launch of the Maker's Spotlight. It's a great way to lift up people who are pouring their hearts into producing quality work. Today we met the father & son half of the family behind Kindt Family Farm and even learned about Button the miniature cow. These are truly salt-of-the-earth people.
Shane & Taden sell amazing farm-to-table meats straight off their homestead in Tripp, SD. Mom & Daughter were running the food truck while these two were selling through all sorts of delicious foods from their booth at Falls Park Farmer's Market. It looked so mouth-watering when we got done filming I had to go buy some brats and sausage. Look for their story soon on Degaje Studios.

I was primarily filming for Degaje Studios during the 605 Roots Bunkhouse move, but couldn't resist flipping over to photography for some quick shots. Everyone came together and volunteered their time to pull off this epic move, getting the bunkhouse safely nestled into it's forever home. Looking forward to see the good fruit coming from this vision! Logan operated the drone as Abe and I handled filming. Degaje Studios will have the video coming soon!

Kari and Abby teamed up as a mother daughter duo and shot the God, Mom, & Me Tea event with National Abstinence Clearinghouse. They did a great job hosting and giving space for Moms & Daughters to have some quality time together.
