I see and hear this term all the time! "Searching for a photographer that doesn’t cost an arm and leg", among other things like "jeez you’re robbing people with your prices“ "my iPhone can take just as good photos" "wow, you charge that much for just pointing a camera and pushing a button?“

I am fully aware that many people are on budgets, and me personally, I work with many budgets, BUT my advice is don’t be disrespectful to a photographer and downplay their work. Simply state "searching for a photographer within “ it’s very simple.

Photography is our job, our business, our livelihood, it’s what pays our bills and supports our families just like any other person who works a job, And trust me it’s SO much more than just "pushing a button". I promise you we put many hours into giving you these memories that you can cherish, and pass down to your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. I absolutely LOVE looking at photos from my grandparents, and parents lives before my time! I mean photos are a huge part of history and learning!

So anyway, just be mindful of what you say when looking for a photographer, and I promise you I do not accept arms and legs are payment!

📸 Temporary Pause on Sessions

Due to a recent surgery, Gomez Photography will be taking a short break from photo sessions for the next 6 weeks. 🤍

We plan to resume sessions in May, and we can’t wait to be back behind the camera!

In the meantime, we are still accepting inquiries and booking sessions for dates starting in May—so feel free to message us anytime! 💌
