This move is everything we hoped for, but preparing to leave has brought emotions I never expected.
We aren’t leaving because we stopped loving the life we created here. In many ways, leaving is so difficult precisely because we love it so much.
Northern Virginia has been home to our family, our friendships, and the photography business that allowed me to become part of so many beautiful stories. I will always be grateful for every person who trusted me with a piece of theirs.
I’m learning that excitement and grief do not cancel each other out. Sometimes they sit side by side, reminding us that a new beginning can be beautiful without making the chapter before it any less meaningful.
We still have a little time before we leave, but our next chapter is officially on the horizon.
And yes, I’m still photographing sessions and celebrations here in Northern Virginia through mid-September. More details on my final availability soon. 🤍
